DigitalOcean, Inc. is an American cloud infrastructure provider with data centers worldwide. This company was founded on 2011 as a company which would provide server provisioning and cloud hosting for software developers. DigitalOcean currently offers a community resource, which provides developer-to-developer forums and tutorials on open source and sysadmin topics.


With DigitalOcean Teams you can invite and manage users, ensure security with two-factor authentication, and control your resource spend with centralized billing. They also have multiple Droplets within their control panel or by API in your terminal. They also have the technology to keep a close eye on customers Droplet’s bandwidth. Disk and CPU levels. They also have simplified cloud option like block storage, fast network, monitoring etc.


Their pricing has two ranges that are, Standard Droplet pricing and High memory Droplet pricing. In Standard Droplet plans offer the right amount of RAM, CPU, and storage space needed to get applications off the ground. Its price range starts from $5 /month to $80 /month.High memory Droplet plans offer larger amounts of RAM, ideal for databases and in-memory caching. Its price range starts from $120 /month to $1680 /month.

DigitalOcean’s command center makes configuring cloud servers and development frameworks simple and intuitive. DigitalOcean offers five popular Linux distributions that can be automatically pre-installed upon deployment of a server: Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian, Fedora, and CoreOS. FreeBSD is also supported.


DigitalOcean provides a 99.99% uptime SLA around network, power and virtual server availability. They also have Solutions engineering support for their customers with 24/7 dedicated phone & email support. They also have community pages with numerous tutorials.

    I am very neutrally satisfied has it given an average level of features and services. I would like to say that this cloud provider needs lot of development and then it can have a fully satisfied customer.

    One of the worst cloud provider. They are not cooperating with the customers and have an idea of catching new customers and making money. They won’t care about their existing customers.

    I was a customer of this cloud provider for more than 8 months, and recently I had some issue and I tried to contact to their customer support and I got zero response from them. And now I have changed the cloud provider and now I can see 60% of my business cost as been reduced.
